域名注册商的陷阱

距离上次更新博客已经很久，万没想到，我重启更新竟会是因为域名续费遇到了陷阱。

2011年2月，在Leaves的帮助下，我于godaddy申请了hyqinglan.net的域名，由此开始了独立博客时代。彼时godaddy一年的域名费是7.67美元，在众多国内外域名商中独树一帜，并且海外注册商的域名无须向监管部门备案——这两点在当时都准确命中我的需求，于是我几乎欣喜万分地投怀送抱，一抱就是13年。

然而godaddy并无太多好意。13年间，域名费用一张再涨，最初每年都发放的优惠券也悄然失去踪迹。只是我在长期使用中并无不满，因此也始终没有起意更换域名商，直到一周前，我发现今年的域名费竟已涨到25.17美元，方才大吃一惊。很快，我发现godaddy的报价已经远超它的竞争对手，思之再三，我终于决心把域名转到dynadot旗下——理由也简单，dynadot一年的域名费只有12.5美元，并且和godaddy一样支持用支付宝付款。

转移的过程总体顺利。我于2月19日申请，向dynadot额外续费1年后，不到一周，转移即告完成。但当我查看dynadot的域名状态时，竟突然发现，域名有效期并未如期增加。难道出现了什么BUG？还是额外时长要延迟到账？查阅网络资料后，我才意识到，自己已经无意间踏入了域名转移与续费问题上最大的陷阱——我的域名掉年了。

根据ICANN官网2002年的一篇文章，如果在域名到期并续费后的45天内更换域名注册商，那么转移的域名有效期将只会增加1年，而非我为此支付费用的2年。ICANN将会向转出域名的注册商退款，但并不要求注册商向用户退款。注册商应该提醒用户注意这一点，如果注册商不愿意向用户退还，用户必须自己承担1年有效期的损失。

虽然我不理解ICANN为什么会有这种规定，但显然，godaddy故意在转出页面不给出任何提示是我踩坑的直接原因。我感到有些恼怒，但无计可施。我首先咨询了dynadot的客服，问他是否有可能从godaddy获得退款，但他认为没有什么机会。
